On Tuesday, March 17, we brought the Complecto community together at Piaget's flagship boutique at Hudson Yards in NYC for an evening that felt exactly like that.


Over 30 members showed up for the opportunity to get closer to a brand that, for many, has always carried a certain mystique.

Membership Has Its Rewards

A month ahead of Watches and Wonders, our members had the opportunity to preview Piaget’s upcoming novelties - that kind of access is rare and something we didn’t take lightly.

It’s one thing to encounter a watch after it’s been launched, photographed, and written about. It’s another to experience it up close, on the wrist, forming your own perspective in real time with friends - it's the kind of shared experience that makes a moment memorable.

A Personal Connection

My connection to Piaget runs deeper than this event. It’s my father’s favorite brand, the one he was always drawn to (but never owned), long before I understood their heritage or appreciated the beauty and impact of a tiny gold dress watch. And one of the two watches I inherited from my grandfather is also a Piaget (now in for service at their manufacture in La Côte-aux-Fées).

So hosting a night like this carries a different kind of weight for me because it’s not just about bringing people together. It’s about sharing something that’s been part of my own story for a long time and creating space for others to form and celebrate their own connection to it.

Craft, Up Close

The evening wasn’t just about looking at watches behind glass, it was about experiencing Piaget’s savoir-faire in a very personal way.

Members stepped into Piaget’s world through hands-on atelier experiences, trying their hand at gold engraving and working with gemstones in a way that reframed the level of artistry behind each piece.

We also spent time with Stanislas Rambaud, Piaget’s new American brand president, who previously served as IWC’s U.S. president since 2021.

When leadership shows up and engages sincerely and directly with the community, it changes the dynamic. Conversations expand, insights are gained, and you begin to feel just how much that passion for the brand matters.

There’s a real shift happening around Piaget right now.

A growing surge in interest around vintage Piaget - especially from the ’70s and ’80s - is bringing renewed attention to a brand that once defined effortless, design-forward cool. That momentum is carrying into what they’re doing today in a way that feels deeply considered.
